This is the way most rescues have their animals adopted as well. You will be able to screen potential adopters accordingly to make sure that the animal goes to the right home. This process can also be done in the “Rehoming Pets of the Coachella Valley” Facebook group, where you are required to charge a rehoming fee to make sure your pet(s) go to a good home. People have also been successful in rehoming pets through Nextdoor.com, which only advertises to your neighborhood, where you may also screen potential adopters that are close by in your general area.
