Every day that I am alive I owe to you, my dear human friend. The day you brought me into your life was the best day of my life… or so I thought.
Each day has gotten better and better. We have had our disagreements about what should be done inside and what needs to be taken outside. I may not have agreed with you but it is the hand that feeds me rule!
My family was abandoned in the desert in the summer, way up by the windmills. By the time the old lady came to save us, my mom and sisters had died from the heat and starvation.
This lady kept me in her house with dozens of other dogs and cats. She had so many of us, that we didn't get much food there, either. We weren't allowed to go outside, so after the first year, we just slept in our feces. My fur was in dreadlocks full of dirt, hard like a helmet. No one touched us or talked to us.
Here is the update on this tiny Loving All Animals Org rescue pup. Veterinary neurologist Dr. Stephen Hanson diagnosed her with "atlantoaxial subluxation and marked spinal cord compression." The good news is this is very treatable and she has no brain lesions. Surgery for this has almost 100% success rate.
Please make a tax deductable donation to www.lovingallanimals.org and designate "Pippen" as the reason. You can also donate on this webpage. E-mail me at email@example.com if you need more information or want an update. Read her story here: coachellavalleyweekly.com/special-pup-pippen-needs-you/
Rescued dogs are the best. It seems they remember that you saved them, and are forever grateful, eager to please, and never want to be without their new forever family.
